Nathan apprenticed at an award winning motorsport engineering company; building gearboxes, running machinery, learning about high quality and fast deadlines. He started a landscaping company and spent time turfing, building fences and laying paving. This led to ongoing work with a prestigious local carpentry firm building high quality decks and outdoor structures.

A family friend offered him an opportunity to travel further afield installing and servicing spray painting booths for crash repair garages; this gave him a start working on industrial steel framed buildings. A period in technical sales was a useful bridge between knowing a trade and communicating a condensed version of that knowledge to a customer to assist them in their choices; he helped explain to race car builders how his machinists and other operatives could add performance features to their custom engine parts.

Moving into Construction sales he brokered deals for the supply of fitted kitchens, bathroom and joinery products to builders, participating in the supply chain effort of understanding and delivering upon customer expectations in the building trades.

Australia beckoned in 2013, and his introduction to FNQ began in the cramped, dusty, hot roof spaces of the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre where he insulated the new ductwork as part of the Theiss refurbishment project. Sheet metal work was also completed for Headley's and landscaping for another local contractor. The ideal opportunity to learn work method and the safety culture of large Principle contractors.

A move to Cairns led to 4 years of contract shed and industrial building erection all over the FNQ region.In 2021. Nathan began running his own small construction projects and working with his mate and Graeme who has a storied career and ran an established handyman business. The scale of their projects grew from minor rental property fix ups, to complete kitchens and bathrooms, and then full home renovations and extensions. With in house skills like carpentry, joinery, cabinetmaking and shopfitting they were able to tackle many different projects, and both having very diverse experience they were naturals at organising other trades to bring their customers requirements to sucsessful completion. Graeme continuously threaten to retire, but as of now he is still regularly involved, while having a little more time to spend on his other interests like his Hot Rod and his Dance Classes.
